Eventually Dr. Edwards returned to Southern California in order pursue her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology degrees at Pepperdine University. Having been fortunate enough to receive the highest level of training in her field, she has worked and trained at some of the world's finest institutions, including the UCLA-Resnick Neuropsychiatric Institute, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Loyola Marymount College and Mount Saint Mary's College Student Psychological Services, as well as at the West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.

In addition to her training and experience, Dr. Edwards is a proud mother of three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her free time.
